Free Family/Couples Camp:
Compass Retreat Center in Seymour is offering free weeklong reintegration camps for families and couples who have been deployed. The camp dates are Aug. 8-13 for enlisted families, Aug. 15-20 for officer families, and Oct. 10-15 for couples only (no children). For more information, visit www.compassretreatcenter.org. Save the Date for State Family Program Workshop and Youth Symposium:
April 23-25 in French Lick Resort
All volunteers are encouraged to attend, and youth ages 12-17 are invited to attend the Youth Symposium. The priority is "Strengthening Our Families" with workshops designed to strengthen volunteers. A silent auction will be held to benefit youth programs.
Check-in will begin at 4 p.m. on Friday, followed by a free light meal. The workshops on Saturday are 8-4 with lunch provided. Each volunteer will receive vouchers for breakfast and dinner. Sunday's workshops will be 7:30-11 a.m. with breakfast provided. There will also be an awards ceremony.
